I decided to make a blog for our upcoming adventures in Linz, Austria! I thought it would be a good way to share everything we've been doing as well as pictures from our trip. Assuming our hotel over there has Wifi (which it says it does) I hope to be able to share things on a regular basis. If not, well...this will be the only post you'll get to read until we come back. How exciting!
Our plane leaves out of Detroit on Thursday evening at 7:10 and about 8 hours later, we'll have a 4 hour layover in Frankfurt, Germany. After that, it's only an hour to the Linz airport (the Blue Danube to be exact!)

And here is Linz! |
Michael has done an excellent job preparing us for this trip. He and the other guys in his quartet already secured transportation from the airport to the hotels which is such a big stress relief given how many tubas we'll be trying to fit in a taxi.
Michael and his quartet will be performing in the semi-finals of the competition on Sunday and the finals round is on Tuesday so everybody cheer for them!
We are hoping to be able to take a couple of day trips to Salzburg and Vienna during our stay. We've researched the train tickets and schedules so I really hope we'll be able to make that happen. Just a couple more days and we'll be off!
